Best Artistic Achievement is the award that is for the movie that had the best overall feel, color and atmosphere. And whose elements came together to create a whole experience for the viewer.

Some of the comments from the panel of judgement were that the mural painting was shown with a wide-angle lens, distorting the painting.

The reclining buddha was a powerfull shot. It could have been used to close the sequence with the flooded temples. Put right before the news footage, It would have closed that part of the sequence and been a better editing choice.

  “If I can't remember what I saw, then the film didn't touch my heart.  That means it either had poor content or poor pictures.
  
  

  Every piece in this festival had a strong message.  But each piece should have been more imaginative and more artistic.  With both of these techniques your piece communicates more and the viewer will remember your work.”

  “Every piece needed to be more careful with tone.  Sometimes just an implied metaphor is better.  It's not always a great idea to get straight to the point.  Strong images impact the viewer, but many times a long shot tells us more.  Put every sequence together so that it conveys your idea, and then make it beautiful to look at.”
